If your point of departure is in mainland Europe, the quickest way to get to Greenland is via Copenhagen, Denmark. Air Greenland operates frequent flights from Copenhagen to Nuuk all-year round and to Narsarsuaq two times a week in the summer season (June to August). The direct flight between Kangerlussuaq and Copenhagen, twice a week, will in 2026 operate from February 10 to November 17.
From Nuuk Air Greenland offers connecting flights to Kangerlussuaq, Ilulissat, Aasiaat, Sisimiut, Maniitsoq, and Narsarsuaq.
We suggest using Google’s multi city flight option and Skyscanner
If you’re planning on flying to Greenland via the US, Canada and the UK, the quickest way to get to Greenland is through Iceland. Air Greenland operates direct flights from Keflavik International Airport just outside Reykjavik to the capital Nuuk all year-round. With Icelandair you can fly directly from Reykjavik Domestic Airport to Ilulissat, Kulusuk, Narsarsuaq and Nuuk all-year round.
We suggest using Google’s multi city flight option and Skyscanner
There are many options out of Aasiaat (JEG), but we have often found the best to be a single flight to Copenhagen (around £450), spend the night here in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, then fly home the next day. See the link here.
