Sailing holidays for single travellers: the perfect solution
Setting off solo on an adventure sailing holiday is perfect for when you just want to get away from it all for a while and do something for yourself for once. 90% of the crew join solo so you’re immediately amongst like minded people and it’s also an incredibly social environment on board. Then when you want a bit of solitude, you can head up on deck and gaze out over the ocean at the endless waves and majestic skies. There really is nothing to beat sailing off the beaten track and not having to worry about anyone else while you do it!
No previous experience required
There’s no need to have sailed before as the two instructors on board will teach you everything you need to know. If you have done some sailing before, they will be able to help you develop your skills and move on to the next level. Whatever your past experience, everyone is encouraged to be fully involved from the very start, including the navigating, helming, sail trim and even parking. Don’t worry – we’ll show you how!
The average crew on board
With 90% plus coming alone, the crew of 8 is a group of like minded people who are independently minded and up for a superb sailing holiday. There’s usually a 50:50 mix of men and women and the age range is usually between 35-65yrs, although anyone from 18 up to 75 is very welcome and we have sailed with a wonderful 76 year old up into the Arctic Circle!
