Hummingbird has almost arrived in Cuba. We are currently anchored outside the marina awaiting clearance in the morning. The day began with a pretty unsettled morning. Squalls with thunder and lightning spread across the ocean, it rained for hours, the wind was up and down from force 2 to force 6 and the sails where up, down and reefs where in and out. It all settled down in time for the skipper and Mate swapping over, this time the skipper being the one who was soaked and the Mate bone dry. As the afternoon wore on the skies cleared and we were treated to a lovely sunset and a moonlit entry to Cayo Largo channel. Shirley navigated us in expertly well and once we found a none corally or weedy patch we stuck a load of chain on the bottom and cracked open the beers.
